Day 1 of the fellowship

Tonight's keynote speaker Gregory Warner has opened my eyes to a different way of reporting. It broke away from the tradition "personalizing" a story by including views from officials, experts, and even innanimate objects. It certainly is very interesting to me and I look forward to applying this approach to my reports.
Equally as impressive is the team that has been assembled for the fellowship. They are committed and enterprising journalists that no doubt are about to produce very important health stories. I am really looking forward to the next few days.
