I was honored to have a wide ranging conversation with Dr. David Blumenthal today. The primary topics centered around transparency at the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), Health Information Technology Research Center (HITRC) and communities of shared learning, Personal Health Records and how they fit within the strategic vision of the ONC, and finally overcoming challenges to adoption of electronic health records for rural providers, critical access hospitals and small practices.
