Devoted fans of Antidote no doubt read my interview with Mark Katches a few weeks ago. Katches was just named the editorial director for the Center for Investigative Reporting's new reporting project in California.

It's great news for CIR, and it's even better news for those of us who still value deep dive reporting. Mark has spearheaded projects large and small, breaking significant ground and winning a truckload of awards. Every day, I use lessons he taught me both as a fellow reporter and as an editor. Congratulations, Mark!
