Kathryn Pitkin Derose

Kathryn Pitkin Derose is a researcher at RAND Health, a division of the RAND Corporation, the nation’s largest independent health policy research program, with a broad research portfolio that focuses on topics including health care quality, costs and delivery. She is currently principal investigator on a multi‐year, National Institutes of Health (NIH)‐funded study on urban congregations’ capacity for HIV Prevention and care.

President acknowledged HIV/AIDS issue in the Asian community

Stephanie Brodine

Dr. Stephanie Brodine is a professor and head of the division of epidemiology and biostatistics at SDSU's Graduate School of Public Health. She is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases with active research interests and expertise in infectious diseases epidemiology (particularly HIV and AIDS), international health, and health disparities. She is the clinical director of the U.S. Department of Defense's HIV/AIDS Prevention Program, which has HIV prevention and care activities in approximately 70 countries.

Murray Penner

Murray Penner is the Deputy Executive Director of Domestic Programs at the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD). Penner's primary responsibilities include oversight of the Care and Treatment, Prevention, Viral Hepatitis and Racial/Ethnic Health Disparities programs, including oversight of cooperative agreements with HRSA, CDC and the Office of Minority Health (OMH). Penner also oversees overall responsibility for NASTAD's National ADAP Monitoring and Technical Assistance program, which includes production of the National ADAP Report.

Bernard Branson

Bernard Branson is a medical epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. He was Associate Director for Laboratory Diagnostics in the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the CDC, where he also conducts research into HIV prevention strategies. Dr. Branson has been the chief architect for CDC's activities surrounding new technologies for HIV testing, including rapid HIV tests and tests for HIV incidence. Most recently, Dr. Branson was the lead author for CDC's Revised Recommendations for HIV Testing of Adults, Adolescents, and Pregnant Women in Health Care Settings. Dr.

Bernard Lo

Dr. Bernard Lo is a professor of medicine and director of the program in medical ethics at the University of Californa, San Francisco. He is national program director for the Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program in Bioethics and a member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) council. He serves on the Recombinant DNA Advisory Committee at National Institutes of Health, which reviews gene transfer protocols. From 1996 to 2001, he served as a member of the National Bioethics Advisory Committee.
