Biography
Jacob Hacker is the Stanley B. Resor Professor of Political Science at Yale University and a fellow at the New America Foundation. His research interests include the politics of U.S. social policy, American political development, and comparative political economies of welfare states. He is author of "The Divided Welfare State" and "The Road to Nowhere," and most recently, coauthored "The Republican Revolution and the Erosion of American Democracy." A frequent commentator on NPR, PBS, and CNN, Dr. Hacker has also written for the New Republic, the Nation, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post.
