Zakiya Kyle
Biography
Zakiya Kyle is the program director for Watts Labor Community Action Committee's Volunteer Center. The Watts Labor Community Action Committee was founded in 1965 by five volunteers with a shoestring budget and enthusiasm to effect change, and more than 40 years later, the program still thrives on the support, dedication and service of volunteers operating under the "Don't Move, Improve" philosophy. The volunteer program is focused on providing volunteers with opportunities to impact the community through service, action, and drive to fulfill the mission of building leadership and capacity in individuals, while simultaneously building capacity within the organization.
