About Myself

My column, "Stir It UP," covers community issues, race and politics in metropolitan Detroit. I'm a former editor of Metro Times and the UAW's Solidarity magazine. I'm also a former assistant editor and reporter at the Detroit Free Press. The Michigan Press Association has honored my work as a columnist, editorial writer, editor and feature writer.
