I'm the science reporter for Bay Area News Group, a 600,000-circulation newspaper chain including the Contra Costa Times, San Jose Mercury News and Oakland Tribune. Along with Glenn Thompson, I also co-authored "50 Simple Ways to Live a Longer Life" (2005, Sourcebooks). I live in Marin County in Northern California.
